Last week, we kicked off our first event for 2023. Inspectorio had the pleasure of joining SAP.iO at the National Retail Federation (NRF) – The Big Retail Show in New York on 15 – 17 January.
NRF is one of the world’s largest retail trade shows, attracting over 37,000 attendees from 90 countries to discover the latest trends and technology. We were thrilled with the opportunity to exhibit alongside other innovative startups in the SAP Partners Village and strengthen our partnership with SAP and SAP.iO.
As Inspectorio continues to grow and expand from a quality management platform to a holistic digital supply chain solution (with new capabilities such as traceability, sustainability and ESG performance analytics), it was the perfect forum to showcase our solutions and demonstrate the impact of our technology on retail supply chains.
The reason behind joining forces with SAP and SAP.iO
We’ve had several exciting initiatives recently. In November 2021, SAP.iO invited Inspectorio to join the SAP.iO Foundry New York startup program focusing on sustainability in retail and consumer industries. The 16-week program provided a great opportunity to leverage SAP’s network and capabilities, gain exposure at NRF 2023, and connect with potential customers.
The integration between Inspectorio and SAP S/4HANA was announced in May 2022. The integration provides a holistic platform for retailers and suppliers to manage quality, compliance, and production tracking. It allows customers to leverage machine learning to take a proactive versus reactive approach to supply chain management.
Attending NRF alongside SAP.iO and SAP was a great opportunity to continue our growing partnership.
NRF took place over the long weekend of Martin Luther King Day, from Sunday, 15th to Tuesday, 17th January, at The Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York.
Inspectorio was at booth 4225 on level 3 with EcoCart, Jebbit, Findmine, Mercaux and Obsess.
We also attended many other events held alongside NRF
Helio Meirelles Neto, Senior Account Executive with Inspectorio, along with one of our customers, attended the SAP Customer Experience and Emarsys NRF Reception. This exclusive event at Lavan541 involved a discussion on SAP’s vision for the future of intelligent CX. Adidas showcased a unique ready-to-wear footwear live activation. The Fashion Scholarship Fund presented a fashion show on sustainable designs. To end the evening Christopher O'Hara, award-winning author of "Data-Driven", shared his perspective on the latest trends in data management and the ever-changing world of data privacy and consent.
What happened on the final day
On the last day of NRF, Tuesday, 17th January, Adam Boardman, Inspectorio’s Executive Vice President of Revenue, and Inspectorio customers, joined SAP at the iconic SAP Hudson Yards building for Show Floor Meets Top Floor.
“NRF was an excellent opportunity to meet with partners like SAP.io and interact with multiple supply chain executives. It was clear from those interactions that there are still critical challenges around sustainability and supply chain resiliency. There is a need to make strategic investments in digitization to ensure the next wave of consumer demand is met with great efficiency,” Adam Boardman, EVP Revenue, Inspectorio.
Over the spectacular views of New York City’s skyline, Inspectorio also gained an exclusive first look into SAP’s New Fashion Experience Center. That wasn’t all, Ashish Parmer, CIO of Tapestry, shared industry insights and trends during a fireside chat.
All in all, it was a great start to 2023. We had the chance to exhibit alongside other innovative start-ups and strengthened our partnership with SAP.iO and SAP. It was also key to raising awareness of our growing capabilities in the market.
